Our Story

Married for over 50 years, David and Gail’s journey is one of partnership, perseverance, and healing.

David worked in many occupations throughout his life, guided by a strong work ethic and a love for people.  In 2020, a series of concussions resulted in a traumatic brain injury (TBI) that changed the course of their lives. After extensive medical treatment, David continues to face ongoing challenges—but with faith, determination, and Gail faithfully by his side, he continues to move forward. Gail has been David’s constant source of strength—his advocate, encourager, and partner through every step of recovery. Together, they leaned into hope and trusted that, even in hardship, there was purpose.

As part of David’s cognitive therapy, his neurologist encouraged activities that required problem‑solving, hand-eye coordination, and movement. Woodworking, a lifelong interest, became both a form of healing and a renewed calling. With Gail’s encouragement and support, Designs Buy David was born.

Through this business, we have witnessed tremendous growth, resilience, and healing, and we are honored to share our products with you.  We hope you enjoy them as much as we enjoyed making them, and that the healing which went into creating them now becomes a meaningful part of your story, too.
